Petr Kirusha participates in the group exhibition “Pictures of Nothing” at PG Art Gallery, Istanbul (9.09.2017 – 7.10.2017).
It’s a historical, methodological survey of contemporary abstraction, bringing together a multi-generational conversation between artists from around the world. “Pictures of Nothing” takes its name from the Kirk Varnedoe’s book, examing the legacy of abstraction after Pollock.
The exhibition consists of 4 sections: “Life without Pictures”, “Sign-Place Systems”, “Historical Dialogues” and “Formalisms”. Each of the part reveals different sides of the contemporary abstract perception and its interconnections with social context and historical references.
