Viennacontemporary

In the quarantine and post-quarantine world, travelling is restricted: we rather travel on Google maps than in reality. That kind of trips was captured by Alexander Vinogradov in his series “360 degrees”, where he walked through the streets of Moscow and Milan and projected on the canvas his “found views”. Being a Muscovite and currently living in Milan, he was – as all of us – not able to go on a walk in any of these cities.
If the real journey occurs, it is not by plane. Rides in private vehicles and short trips by train have substituted international flights. In her works, Olga Chernysheva observes the drivers behind the car glass and distracted passengers of evening trains.
